Callan, the lion is soooo hot. I think he deserves what he and Merinus had. This is a good start of a very interesting book. Love the plot btw.

Re-read this out of curiosity only to realize that it’s awful. The story has almost no plot (even though there is so much potential for story and world building) and tries to make it up with me waaaaay too many (badly written) sex scenes. The novel itself is highly repetitive, it’s as if the author only knows three adjectives and uses them all the time.

I accidentally picked up book like 29 of the series, and didn't realize till I looked it up. So I figured I would pick up the first few. Holy crap. It's not for the prude or faint of heart. Its straight up smut. But I wanted to you know get the background of what was going on. It's not a terrible book, I won't lie I enjoyed it? Like I'm sure that says something about me. Definitely can see how it's problematic at certain points. But alas I'm pretty good at seeing stories like this from all every angle. It seems like this is a series that gets better the further on you get? And less smutty? Like I'm sure it's still that but it seems like more plot in further books? But yeah in the name of getting background I read this.

Hmmm... How many times can a book say the C word... I am not a prude but using the C word over 10 times in a chapter is just...different.
I thought that the basic consept of this novel was interesting. This was a quick read. The characters were interesting yet unrealistic. The main girl character made me want to scream half the time. The sex was a little too much, most of the time I had to just turn my brain off and try not to think that it was sexually assault. I understand that at the moments of passion the brain turns off and they are animalistic but seriously, it read like a woman's wet dream and not like a thought out novel.

Awful
This was one of the WORST books I have ever read. Every single character in this book was one dimensional and only had one personality trait. The main character, Marinus was a naive "strong willed" woman, Callam was a rapper jackass and her brother Kane was incredibly overbearing. All of the men in the story wanted to dictate Marinus' every minute. There were several passages in the book that flat out were about how Marinus' feelings did not matter and how she could try to abstain from sex with Callam, but he would not do so as well, and that he would "take her regardless." It was terrible and awfully rapey. I have no fucking idea how this book has a decent rating

An enjoyable enough story with an interesting premise, but mostly focused on sex instead of plot or character development.
While the idea is original - shifters, or breeds as they're called in this world, being a product of DNA manipulation and experiments, secret organization that once created and now hunts the ones that escaped and people that know of the whole situation and are planning to stop it - it wasn't exactly the focus of the book.
I did not particularly like the heroine, from her name to her naivety and persistence, but none of the other characters drew my interest all that much either. Generally they felt kind of one-dimensional and shallow, but then again the story is erotica so I suppose I shouldn't be expecting anything different.
There's a lot of foreshadowing, hinting at things to come in future books but I don't know if I'll ever get to read them.

Love! Original, creative, passionate
I love this series, I read book 3 to start then book 23 as the characters cross over. Now I’m going back to the beginning.
This book sets up such an incredible dynamic world, yes its sexy as hell at the same time. I have not read anything else like this. The world in the newest to the first is such a cool comparison to see where they get to from where the Breeds started.
Ill probably bing the series before the years over ! 20 more books to go
