Very interesting book, the concept was unique. It gave me very heavy Crimson Peak vibes! There were some things lacking for me personally that were present in her other books but it was still good!

I would compare this to a grown up version of Coraline.
The mirroring worlds concept mostly. Well tough out and very mysterious, but once you're halfway trough, it gets a little predictable. There's a small plot twist at the end, so not really fully predictable, but you get the sense. The writing was beautiful.

I’ll read anything Schwab writes. This was a solid 4.5 for me. Kept me engaged with the writing and descriptions and the storyline. A horror story without being too horrific, gothic but not confusing as some can be.

Not my favorite book by this author. The premise is really interesting, but I don’t think the story went into enough detail and world building, which led to a flat and kind of boring novel.
