4.5/5 Schwab’s writing just hits differently for me. I will read anything she writes. What a gorgeous book. The pictures, the story, the atmosphere.

3.5. I like the concept of this story a lot but I feel like it was lacking action and resolution. I am not sure if this is because it’s a middle year book or not but overall I enjoyed it

3.5 Really enjoyed the writing! The drawings and letters were also really nice. The overall spooky vibe was also something I have not read in a while. Liked the more slowburn feel. Towards the end it felt a bit rushed, think it could’ve been better as a duology. See more of the other side and Matthew and build that up.
