I wished I had read this as a kid because then I would have definitely enjoyed it more. The only story I truly liked was Jenny and her Green Ribbon, though who doesn't? What a classic. And not forgetting the cool illustrations in the book.

2022 read #72

3.5 stars! I'm reading so many short books because I want my reading goal to increase, and I picked Halloween-like short books so I can get into the season! This book definitely made me think of Halloween! My favorite one was "The Girl in the Green Ribbon"

For the target demographic I definitely think most of these stories would be creepy, not all though. I’m definitely not the target demographic though. I only read this for the story The Green Ribbon because I plan to read a story based on it and I had never read it before.

I’m revisiting some of my favorite childhood scary stories for spooky season this year.

So cute and fun! Brought back a lot of childhood memories. And The Green Ribbon story is just as awesome as it always was.

A gift from Sally, contains the story that haunted my childhood, about the girl with a ribbon around her neck.
