A really fast read, but I loved how these original illustrations pair with the stories. I’m trying to decide if the second story is fatphobic…
Minor: Fatphobia

This book was fun to read!
The stories are interesting and would definitely be considered a bit scary and creepy by the intended age group. I wish I was younger so that I could have been properly creeped out!

I know this book has been really important to many American adults who read it as kids. I came to it first as an adult. These are clearly perfectly pitched 'scary' stories for kids.
My twelve-year-old loves it.

This book is what started it all for me. I read this in kindergarten with my friends and then bought an exclusive copy a year ago and absolutely love it. It brings back so many memories and nostalgia.
