The premise of this book drew me in initially and whilst I did enjoy it, the book overall didn’t wow me.

Between the main three characters Clio, Amber and Jeanie, Jeanie was probably my favourite. I love this trio’s friendship and their determination to help and protect the ones that they love, but overall I feel as if their characters were written a bit one dimensional.

The flow of the book took awhile for me to get into but it picked up half way through, and the overall plot worked well but could have been developed further to make things more intriguing for the readers.

3.5⭐️ - this books was quite a fun read, the best thing about it was the narration which was done so well! the characters and plot were fun but just didn’t find myself completely hooked

can imagine a mum liking this?

3.5 rounded up… I really enjoyed this and the cozy British murder mystery vibes were all there! It’s the first in a series so I’m hoping they all get better and better!

I enjoyed this and look forward to the sequel. Vibes were similar to (but less fast paced or chaotic than) Finlay Donovan.

It had just the right amount of breadcrumbs to figure it out before the reveal.

The story has an omniscient third person narrating the girls in the present tense, another narrating Gary’s final hours, and social media posts sprinkled in.

Non-spoiler CWs: childhood in foster care, IVF, infidelity

Really slow and predictable. Ended up skimming a lot toward the end.
