“Coach K’s successful strategies for basketball, business, and life” Duke University basketball coach offers his thoughts on how he built a successful NCAA tournament winning team year after year, stressed his teaching skills and how to reach different types of players. Brendan had read it as a business book, but there was enough basketball to keep Justin interested.

Great guide to leading teams and applying life lessons. Humbling and continuous learning strategies to help manage many situations that may arise.

I started reading this book because of The Bear. I understand why the book was recommended to the character in the show. Building a team and leading them is hard work but worth it.

i mean, sure, i've probably read something similar to his wisdoms quite a few times, but i'm a sucker for his ted lasso it's more about the team and building people and relationships than winning mentality. i'm not even done yet, but i just know this is a 5-star read. i can't wait to have luca read it one day, bc i think he could learn so much from this one.

Ok, finished the book. It's great but it kinda loses its way around the last 50 pages. It's still inspiring and a solid read and reminds me of ted lasso so much that I wouldn't be surprised if they were heavily inspired by this gem.

I’ve admired Coach K for some time, and I originally started this book in order to fulfill a category for a reading challenge I’m participating in. However! This was an excellent read filled with thoughtful insight and advice applicable not only to leadership, but life. Despite being 24 years old at this point, Coach K’s wisdom ages well and I would recommend this title to anyone looking for some meaningful observations on life and leadership.

Didn't love the narrator on this one, which detracted at times, and I wish the business parts weren't so heavy handed, but overall some excellent leadership advice.

My father buys me books sometimes

Started reading this book after seeing Sydney in The Bear doing the same. Her hustle in the kitchen is obviously inspired by the legendary basketball coach. Easy to understand when reading his tales of building a team.
