This was a really good one from leader with world-class credentials. Very few people can ever lay claim to being the best in the world at what they do, but Coach K can. I found his book to be clear and instructive. I especially love the way he weaves narrative with teaching. Each chapter ends with "Coach K's tips" which distill the lessons from the chapter into a few golden nuggets. Few leaders have ever articulated how they do what they do, decide what they decide. We owe Coach K a debt of gratitude for taking the time to think it through and commit himself to paper. Fantastic!

although my boss asked me to read this, i enjoyed it. the coach is from a polish family in chicago, which is close to home for me. but i liked his approach to leadership & creating a team & family. he has a way to treating people with respect & like humans & after reading it it makes me relieved that my boss has this pov for our team. dedication, hard work, honesty, treating people like humans, etc. a good book, even if you’re not a basketball fan. sometimes he did get in the weeds describing games, which is fine. but still pretty good.
A good summary of the things Coach K has learned from his years as a top University basketball coach. I enjoyed the stories about his experiences coaching his team's and how he dealt with specific situations, I didn't always like the hamfisted attempt to extrapolate those annecdotes into general business advice. I think the book works better as a memoir of an interesting man and the pivot into "business advice" feels a bit forced. Regardless, I enjoyed the book and did find it useful.
