Somwhere in between 1-2 stars (maybe)? Admittedly, again I wasn't that interested in Amuns and Haidees story and I really did skim the book more than I reading it. It did have good parts but...that couldn't keep my attention. Maybe it was also tropes of the story I didn't like *shrugs*. Still I'm looking forward to the next one.

Showalter delivers another drool worthy LOTU story. Yes this book has the demon possessed hunk, and a strong kick butt heroin. But it’s the journey they take (and an interesting one it is) that is why we keep reading Showalter's stories. She even manages to twist around what you expect in someone that is supposto be a villain, make you care about them, forgive them, and as a result cheer for them.

If you like paranormal romance you will get hooked on this series.

I really liked the magnetisism between the two main characters. Really great addition to the awesome lords of the underworld series

I didn't like the beginning as there just seemed to be too many repetitive questions, or redundant, like... Hadee asks "Do you have a girlfriend?" After she was told that he hadn't had sex in at least a century. If he had a girlfriend, she stinks, and is no competition, so why be jealous in asking THAT question. OK, so there is more of that when we start off working with one another and it was a little annoying. Still in the end, it is made up for by the chemistry and ending. I really liked this one.

Amun, keeper of Secrets, falls in love with Haidee, a hunter who is immortal. This story has by far been my favorite. No words can describe how much I loved this book. Can’t wait to read the next one!

Ah, the Lord who cannot speak. How fun it was to be inside Amun's head all the time. I was always so curious about him. It's always the quiet one in the corner, haha. Anyway, I liked this book a lot. I was kinda nervous once they had to go to Hell again, because I didn't really enjoy those scenes before in the previous books, and I though 'Oh no, here we go again'. But this was done well, and I didn't even feel like they were ever actually in "Hell".

Haidee was an OK character. Definitely not my favorite female lead, but I really enjoyed how it turned out they had their 'connection'. Very cool indeed.

The ending (as many of this series) was rushed but overall this was an engaging read.

Having read the entire series so far, I am at somewhat of a loss as to where to place this installment. It is not the best by far, but there were some aspects that were intriguing; OK,there's one aspect and his name is Amun. The keeper of Secrets has been understandably quiet previously, but he more than makes up for it in his own story. He is protective, understanding, and willing to do whatever possible to keep the woman he loves. Haidee, his enemy turned love interest is a much more well rounded character than I expected her to be, I came to like her fairly early in the story, and the romance between them was not as angsty as it could have been, which is a definite plus. However, Amun is the main reason why this book gets a four, rather than a three, star rating. The storyline itself was relatively simple in terms of the over-arching plot, but the way it was communicated at times made it seem a lot more complicated and convoluted than it needed to be. Another diappointment for me was that the dyanamic of the warriors together was missing, and the attempts to bring them into the story seemed superfluous. Surprisingly perhaps, another of my favourite aspects of the story was the interaction between William and Gilly who light up the page whenever they appear, and make me want to know if anything is going to happen in that department.
All in all, I would recommend this book. Although there are some issues, it isn't the typical angsty romance between two people who are supposed to hate each other, and that is refreshing. The romance is undoubtedly the best bit, so if you're looking for a romance novel, then this is for you.

This is the first of the LOTU books that I could complete within 2-3 days and actually enjoyed. I tortuously finished the first few books and skimmed the rest mainly IIRC.

I like that Amun wasn't a man whore or womanizer like Paris, Strider, William, etc. I'm honestly not sure about the next book, Strider's story, as he was quite unpleasant in this book and I don't like how he treated who I suspect will become his love interest.
