this is very cute

Very cliche girl next door, age gap, single dad , grumpy sunshine with an adorable meet cute on Halloween.

There was some plot issues that bothered me and some of the phrasing but otherwise an adorable read.

There’s open door spice

I really enjoyed this book! It was really quick read to break up a few arc books that I had. I love Kristen Granata and her books so this book was an instant download for me. I loved the relationship with Elena and Grant's daughter it was so wholesome to see how she needed to be able to speak with someone who wasn't her dad about things and Elena be welcoming and open to those conversations. My heart honestly broke for Noah and I was so happy that she had the love she got from her dad Grant and Elena.

If you are looking for a quick slow burn read with a single dad, grumpy x sunshine then this is an easy reach/read!

Single dad. Nextdoor neighbors. Age gap. Pranks. I loved it! Such a cute read for fall! Kristen Granata hasn’t let me down yet.

This was a quick, yet surprisingly emotional fall themed novella. I don’t know that a novella has ever made me tear up!

I loved the prank war! I want to start one with my neighbor friends now 😂

I loved the emotional growth Grant went through. He frustrated me at times, but he’s a single dad trying his best. Elena comes into their lives and makes him realize how much they’ve been missing out on. And helps him lighten up and be more understanding of his teenage daughter.

The relationship between the Elena and Grants daughter, Noah, was so sweet. It was my favorite part. I loved how Noah had a pretty significant part in this story.

This was a little disappointing tbh. For me it’s around a 2-5-3 stars

Firstly, there were a lot of mistakes when it comes to context, it felt like it wasn’t edited or if it was edited they took out some scenes which were important to make the next part of book understandable. For example, Grant (Mmc) told Noah (his daughter) that her mom (they’re separated) texted him after 9 months and was like this is your baby and a couple pages later he tells her I went to her first ultrasound with her. And the whole time i was which one id true?? Also his daughters named Noah and that always messed me up cause I was like does he have a son too? Secondly, the way Elena’s (fmc) infertility was handled was so weird to me. I don’t know why Noah just spoke about Elena’s issues with pregnancy in front of her dad and his friends. I get that she’s a kid but like I’m sorry what??

The most disappointing thing was the way Grant kept lying to Noah time and time again. The whole back story with Noah’s mom was so uncalled for. I felt like the author wanted the big X factor and included the most childish reason behind Grants lying and Noah’s mom.
