This is a great book for young readers. I was struck by the diverse representation in both theme and illustration. I loved the representation of different families and living situations all within the same community. I loved it and the message it sends to young readers and families alike. "We will have fun side by side, all are welcome here"

The concept is as simple as it's important: the book takes you through a class' school day but does so with a big focus on diversity and the fact that everyone is welcome in their community, no matter their race, religion or background, whether they're disabled or whether they have one or two parents or what their parents' genders are. I think that every grade school and kindergarden should have this and it's really important to have a book that makes every child feel represented, loved and welcome.

The illustration style isn't my favourite and the faces all look pretty much the same but that's personal taste.

I honestly don't even have a detailed review of this book because in our current era just the constant repetition of the words, "All are welcome here," is balm to my heart. I can barely read it without tearing up.

Nice intent, flat execution with dull, lifeless rhymes.
