The illustrations of this book feature all kinds of kids from all kinds of families. A perfect beginning-of-school book to get kids thinking about becoming a community of learners who value all members.

A sweet reminder that all types of people are "welcome here" even if sometimes our country forgets that

Great for a school to aspire to. May make kids anticipate a more welcoming environment than is waiting for them. Still, lovely illustrations and narration!

It's encouraging to see children's literature heading in such a progressive direction. This is not the first new picture book I've seen in recent months with a message of tolerance, acceptance, and loving one's neighbor. This book would make a great first-day-of-school read aloud to set the tone for a diverse classroom. Highly recommend for school media centers and classrooms.

On my banned books reading journey. This book is banned in many schools because it "pushes the Diversity Agenda". Literally a book about how school is a safe space for all children. The end.

This book is great for those in grade schools. As people start getting older, this book helps show that everyone is welcomed and all are great with including everyone.

No matter your background, what you wear or eat or believe you are welcome at school and your community will support you and your family. Great for K-2 first day of school!!
