3.5. Lacked the emotional impact of the previous two. Follows a similar format - Interconnected stories set at different points in time. Gloomy but never as compelling as I wanted it to be.

I accidentally read part 3 before the others but it works as a stand-alone novel. Wild horses & climate change. Three
very different and very satisfying stories.

This book is divided in three parts, spread over three different time periods, centring around the Prezwalky horse, an ancient species of wild horses from Mongolia. I was confused for a while, where everything comes together, which it doesn't. It was however moving, sometimes very gross in a bodily kind of way and enticing. I like the whole climate crisis and the world going to shit kind of vibe part set in the future. I also liked the relationships in the book, the characters just feel so real...
