I continue to love these series. Madcap adventures through time but also good characters and a great found family.

If there were more options, I'd put this down as a 3.5. Still love Max. Still love the location. The plot in this case was a bit hard to get into. I enjoyed the last half of the book quite a bit, but if I weren't already in love with the series, I doubt I would have made it past the first quarter.

Best line (of many), Max when facing an interview with this entry's villain: "I prepared to be difficult." Love this series.

By the dates read, it looks like it took me forever to read this. When really I read 60% on the 6th, and the rest on the 16th. I continue to love these books. Fun romps through history with a bit of romance thrown in. I think this one has started the series in a new direction and I’m very excited to see where it goes. I do love Max and Leon. And will always be down to see more from both sides of history.
