Deceptively short. :( I wanted to hear the rest of their story.

Short but sweet romance between trios of Fools Gold books. I enjoyed it, could’ve used it being longer, but you can’t have everything!

If you love the Fool's Gold series, you'll like this novella. It doesn't really end with an HEA, more the promise of one but that's perfect for this couple and where they are now.
Fayrene Hopkins is 24, only one year into her five year plan. She isn't looking for love until the rest of her goals have been completed. So when she meets Ryan Patterson, she's only interested in friendship.
For his part, Ryan is an alternative energy source engineer who is only going to be in Fool's Gold for a few months so he's not interested in long-term either and is gentleman enough not to push Fayrene.
Cute story, as with all novellas, too short for much character development but, being as this is Fool's Gold, I'm sure we'll hear more from them.

It's a return to Fool's Gold. This novella was just what I would expect from Susan Mallery and Fool's Gold. The story was great, the characters very likable; it was a very quick read. I read it on my lunch hour and it had me smiling and chuckling. I returned to work a with a smile on my face and a bounce in my step. It made the day so much nicer. My only complaint is that I wanted it longer. :) Can't wait for more of the series this summer!

Cute, but a little too heavy on the insta-love, even for a novella. Still, was an enjoyable read. 3 1/2 stars.

This is not your typical co-workers start hooking up story. Fayrene is dedicated with a plan and Ryan is happy in his nomadic with no real attachments. Fayrene happens to be balancing two jobs at once and Ryan is more than willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to pregnant cat that she is babysitting. This story is not rushed as a first meet and then hookup, the relationship seems to take more of a friendship vibe before either of them realize what is really happening to them.
