I was asked to read this by Eharlequin. It was an easy read. I enjoyed the characters. I thought it stood alone well since I'd not read any of the other books in this series.

This book was okay, it was my first time reading about this series. I found the romance quite rushed and there’s no indication of how long Fayrene and Ryan have known each other.
That being said, I am interested in the rest of the series and I’m looking to give that ago!

Meh. A bit boring and a bit bland. Mallery can do (and usually does) better than this. The books that come after this one in the Fools Gold series bring her back up again, but this is really something to skip.

It was very short and charming at the beginning. But like always it was rushed into love. I basically read it to see more of the town's people.

(Fool's Gold Novella)
“THE BABIES ARE coming! The babies are coming! Someone call nine-one-one!”
Such a over the top reaction to a cat having babies that Fay had. (I just called her Fay, but her name is Fayrene)
Too short and not sure of the timeline of the story. A few days? Weeks? But still an ok novella of the Fool's Gold series. Cute. Would have enjoyed it more if there was some more romance. But this seemed more to develop Susan's characters in her series than a novella of the main characters intended for

Since I wanted to read a tiny story, I chose this and 6.2 from Fool's Gold series.
The stories are easy to read, simple and sweet.
I'll be going back to read the series. I like the people, their friendly nature, and the Parades.
In this one though, I like the cat. ;)
