This book was so close to being so good. The romance was good, max was good, the ‘drama’ was good. Unfortunately the fat rep in this book goes down as some of the worst I have ever read. Freda cannot stop talking about how unlikable and gross and fat she is and honestly it’s awful to read. I think if you are a thin bodied author you have to be really careful when writing plus sized FMCS and Amy didn’t do enough research or like even ask one fat friend how she would feel about it.

Freya + Mac
designer/seamstress + footballer

I wanted to like this book. I liked their banter (sometimes) but overall the two of them just annoyed me.
Bad characters, bad motivations, bad ending, bad insecurities, bad female representation... Wished it could have been more entertaining.

This audio book is the GOLD STANDARD for romance. It was exceptional!
The narrators demonstrated a wide variety of accents that were spot on! And they made this story completely come to life.
For anyone looking to dive into the world of audiobooks, this would be the perfect one to start with.

As for the story, I could not get enough of Mac and Freya. They were adorably, sexy and they made me laugh and swoon.
I just don't know what more to say. I couldn't have enjoyed it any more than I did. <3

Delightful

Freya and Mac were hysterical. I really enjoyed reading their story, the plot line didn’t feel too rushed and I love that the heroine was so relates me.

this book is so cringe that I can't even finish it, I understand that she is a thirty-year-old virgin but it is impossible to arrive at thirty without knowing anything about sex (she doesn't even know what giving head means).

I have tried several times to finish it but I just can't, I will never trust the booktok advice again.

I received an ARC on exchange of honest review.

The story is beautiful, so fresh and with an incredible sense of humor. And the characters are so adorable that I've felt every phrase and emotion they projected on me.
Freya in her late twenties as a virgin seemed impossible and her ignorance about sex has made me laugh a lot, especially in her conversations with Mac.

✨“Netflix and chill means Netflix and sex,” Mac explains. “We don’t do The Sex!” I exclaim and shift myself over so the sides of our thighs are no longer touching. “You and I are just mates!”✨

This is more than just another story of best friends who fall in love, it's to accompany this couple in their relationship, to see how Mac is more than willing to be that person who will help Freya look and feel just the way she is and not the way she looks at herself.

✨“My point is, you look like that.” Then I gesture to myself. “And I look like this.”✨

That Mac speaks with that Scottish accent and Freya imitates him by highlighting the R has nothing to do with me falling in love with him (nope, definitely not, LOL, who I'm trying to fool).

The only thing I feel is that since this is the first thing I read from this author, it seems to me that there are stories prior to this one and that I just spoiler myself, and to solve it I will go read them and catch up.
Thank you so much Amy Daws for the book, I really loved it.
