Boring ending. Was hoping for something incredible. Also wanted Ben to actually come back so Nora could shove her happiness and success in his face.

Cute! Ending is a little bit unrealistic, but it was a cute quick read to add some delight to your life.

☕️ “Have you ever felt like you’re disappearing?” he asks. “Like you’re sure one day you’re going to wake up and find that the truest parts of yourself have been replaced by someone else’s plans?” ☕️

☀️ synopsis:
Nora Hamilton is a Romance Channel screenwriter. But when her too-good-to work husband leaves her and their two kids, Nora turns her marriage's collapse into cash and writes the best script of her life. No one is more surprised than her when it's picked up for the big screen and set to film on location at her 100-year-old-home. When former Sexiest Man Alive, Leo Vance, is cast as her ne'er-do-well husband Nora's life will never be the same.

🏠 thoughts:
THIS WAS SO CUTE!!!!!! I loved it so much! Thank you so much to the librarian over at my local library for recommending it to me, otherwise I'm not sure I would've picked up this new favorite! I loved Nora, loved her kids, Leo... all the characters! Even Nora's house which was totally a character as well. Nora's inner monologue had some great humor. I truly just felt lost in the pages when reading, kicking my feet having a good little time in a romance. It's not steamy, and I love romances that don't depend on those scenes to write a good story. It truly did feel like I was reading a movie script. And it read extremely fast both in length and in page-turning factor. It just felt very "real" (despite of course, obviously not haha) with details of Nora having to cook, clean, work etc all the normal life things which I also loved reading. This *DOES* have the miscommunication trope I must warn you, but I forgave it since it did read so quickly it felt more painless. Plus the ending :))))
