I'm not sure what happened here because it was going well until they got together, but OMG the last 10% has been excruciating. I love romance but this is just cheesy and I can't with the ex, and it looks like he's going to play a big role in the second part of the book so nope. I had big hopes for this book, but it looks like it's just not for me.

Literally what was this and why did everyone say it was good? The guy was weird and a jerk? He moved himself into her house.. and then randomly fell in love with her.. then ghosted her.. yelled at her little kid.. came back and married her??? Everything could’ve been resolved with one simple phone call? He literally could’ve sent her ONE single message the entire year and everything would’ve been fixed?? This could’ve been so good but no. I hated it and I’m actually angry and annoyed.

This novel was a pleasure to read. The characters were well-developed, and the writing was beautifully descriptive. I could perfectly picture the tea house with its surrounding flowers, and the sunrise from Nora's porch. I love the depth of the connection between Nora and Leo, as well as Nora's relationship with her kids. The ending was just what I was craving. Thanks, Annabel, for inviting us into Nora's world!
