The book was quick, easy, and enjoyable to read, but I felt the characters were a little underdeveloped. It was hard to really see how Leo and Nora made a good couple. I just felt like I didn’t know enough to buy into the bond. I was also so convinced Leo was going to be an alcoholic because of how much they mentioned drinking, but nope.

She wrote this book just to hurt & annoy us; if I had a physical copy I’d throw it across the room

The book cover is so misleading!
The dialogue in this book is so flat, I have no idea how a random guy basically breaking into a woman’s house and drinking all her alcohol becomes her bf. She starts calling him her bf without discussing their relationship at all, then he just randomly tells her he’s in love out of nowhere? Idk, it kind of feels like two neurodivergent people pretending to be neurotypical and not really getting it right.
Also, the way we just pretend the abusive ex wasn’t abusive? Way to normalize toxicity.

Cute. Some funny lines. Some valid points. And a surprise ending. One that you kind of expect but can’t figure out how.
