Another amazing read in the In Death series from JD Robb. Eve Dallas, Lieutenant of the NYPD, stands for the dead. Her latest victim is a young woman who had so much potential but is found left in a park with a sign saying Bad Mommy in crayon. Dallas along with her partner Peabody are on the clock because there are two other young women also missing who match the victim profile. With the help of her usual cast of characters, Dallas and Peabody track each lead down hoping for the best but knowing these young women are running out of town. Great read, focusing a lot of the mystery and the case unlike some other in the series that seems to have a focus on Eve and the people in her life. With part of the story shared from the prospective of a victim, you're left on the edge of your seat. Great read!

Excellent as always! Surprised at the killer's identity and almost missed where Eve realized it too. She always gets her suspect!!!

I hope the next book has more Eve and Roarke moments.

I actually enjoyed this book even though it dragged out for longer than the story called for. Lots of characters and the killer was a shock to me. Good solid read

This one had an interesting killer, and one you might not see coming. Maybe there's too much of Eve's friends and not enough tension, but you could say that of any of the recent stuff. Worth reading if you're a series fan.

I love Eve, Roarke and the community they are a part of. I always enjoy learning what these characters are up to. In this one I really enjoyed Jaime and Quilla, characters from previous books. This one surprised me a little with the identity of the villain. Something about this one just didn’t draw me in the same way as other In Death books. An enjoyable installment, yet not quite the layered story I expect from an Eve Dallas investigation.
