i read it for school and like i don't like the style of all of the old books like the main female character is forced to marry some old saggy man or like any of the female characters that are forced to marry old men

Tekst o miłości wywołanej eliksirem, nie prawdziwej i szlachetnej, ale można by wręcz rzec miłości patologicznej, wymuszonej, wyniszczającej, przez którą bohaterowie nie potrafią podejmować racjonalnych decyzji, która może doprowadzić jedynie do tragedii.

Historia zyskałaby również jakby wątek miłosny był bardziej zrównoważony scenami bitew. Zakochany Tristan jest postacią beznadziejną, jednak będąc w trybie bojowym jest doskonałym rycerzem, który zasłużył na swoje pochwały.
