The plot was really good as a lot happened and it was fast enough that there weren’t any boring parts but slow enough that you could still understand what was going on.

I liked that other characters were mentioned in this book but you don’t really see them interacting with Ian and Veritas.

At the beginning of this book, Veritas does something stupid again without talking to anyone, just acting impulsively. But by the end of the book, I didn’t dislike her anymore.

I liked how even though there were a lot of problems, there were still funny moments.

The thing that annoyed me the most was that there was no epilogue. Something really big happens at the end and just as that’s solved, the book ends. I wanted to see more of what Ian and Veritas were going to do now.

I liked Vlad when the books were about Bones and Cat but in these books and in his own books, Vlad was a bit annoying and I didn’t like him.

This book was so fantastic, I enjoyed it so much, thought he ending was a bit abrupt. And since this is the last book in the trilogy, well, I'd almost want a novella. And it might be the end of the Night Huntress world, who knows!

desperate to save her husband ian, veritas accepts help from phanes. but after saving ian, he kidnaps her and tricks her into taking him to the netherworld where he breaks two gods free. those gods wreck havoc on earth and the only way to save it is to convince the vampires and the ghouls, mortal enemies, to work together. meanwhile ian had to resort to drastic measures to save veritas from phanes and those measures are now killing him.

I loved this book so much!

As with many of my previous favorites, I seem to be done with this particular world. I read about 20%, skipped to the end, wasn't interested to learn how they got there. It appears to be full of heretofore unknown superpowers to solve plot points, bigger and badder villains, more extreme situations, easy solutions to hard problems, lots of recaps of previous plot points. I think if you liked Kate Daniels, especially toward the end, then you would like this.

Der Anfang war wieder super rasant und fast schon zu viel ist auf einmal passiert.
Die Mitte hat sich dann wieder etwas gezogen und gefühlt war das Buch schon fast wieder zu Ende, als es erst so richtig los ging.
Mit dem Ende bin ich auch nur so mäßig zufrieden. Einfach viel zu wenig Kapazität dafür genutzt. Auch hätte ich mir gewünscht, dass nach dem „großen Kampf“ noch etwas mehr erzählt wird und nicht so abrupt endet.

The know I know, I didn’t love love this as much as the other two… I have a very good reason for this there was so much build up that wasn’t resolved okay, and Ian deserves his exerting his dominance in public scene.
