SHE COOKED WITH THIS ONE!!! In all seriousness thank you Stephanie Archer for this ARC this book was EVERYTHING!! Rory and Hazel are so perfect for eachother. After reading Behind the Net I was so excited to see their story! I LOVE Hazel so much!! I relate to her so much. I’m an absolute sucker for fake dating romance and she did this one SO well! I absolutely devoured this book in a day. Still thinking about this days later. The banner between Hazel and Rory is so well written.
Hazels is a physio for the Vancouver Storm hockey team, when her (gross) ex Conner gets traded to the team and assigned to her she decides to start faking dating her least favorite star hockey player to make him jealous… You have to read the book to find out the rest but i promise is 1000% worth the read!!!

Loved it. Do yourself a favour and read this series.

Tropes

Hockey romance - this should be your first reason to read this
Fake dating
Ex’s rival
Golden retriever hero
Boy obsessed
Forced proximity

Rory Miller is goals. What a beautiful MMC. Cocky, but obsessed and always has been with our fiesty FMC, Hazel.
Rory is patient, extremely giving, dominant and has it bad for Hazel. I love how much he loves her, despite trying to work out how to deal with some family trauma, that has shaped how he perceives himself.
I loved how Hazel helped Rory find happiness and permission to do it.

No third act breakups in this story just all the good feels, spice and smiles.

I’m not going to lie, Rory had me kicking my feet and giggling like I was the FMC. Might have to re-read just to feel something again.

one of my favourite books I’ve read for a while. Such a nice pace to the story and so heartwarming. Can’t wait to read The Wingman next
