TW: eating disorder, body shaming, sexual assault
I liked it, I hated the epilogue though,
who’s getting married after knowing each other for like six months? They weren’t even officially dating for a month at that point omg

The first half was fun, the second half was mostly spicy scenes

(I finished this book like a week ago but haven’t had time to sit a write a review whoops )

I am a SUCKER for a fake dating book add hockey romance and a man who’s been obsessed with her forever AND no third act breakup and i’m obsessed.

The character development with Rory learning to love hockey again and learning a good captain plus fixing his relationships with his parents was so sweet.

Hazel’s work with making people comfortable in their own bodies and being inclusive to people of all shapes, sizes and levels of mobility and ability is soooo important and it’s always nice to see representation of things like this in books.

I really enjoyed the relationship between Rory and Hazel. Rory has been obsessed with Hazel for so long and he realizing her feelings for him had me giggling and kicking my feet.

The Fake Out was an amazing read, it’s definitely my new favourite Stephanie Archer read (sorry Behind The Net

More love and more hockey :)

I enjoyed the first one more but I still had lots of fun with this one! I get a little frustrated when the FMC denies how they’re feeling for so long but this wasn’t *too* bad. I loved the way they both wanted to protect each other and Rory could be so funny at times! If you’re looking for an easy, fun, spicy escape you’ve come to the right place!

I already fell in love with cocky Rory during the first book. The banter between Rory and Hazel is on fire 🔥

Fake dating, he falls first, a pinch of second chance and the spice 💋💋💋
