When I first picked up this book, I was curious as to how Jodi Picoult and her daughter did composing this story. You can tell from the beginning that the plot was all of Picoult's daughter's idea. This wasn't one of my favorite books, but I did find the different colored text and illustrations drawn into the margin of the pages extremely entertaining.

The plot of this story is actually a good one. It brings up a very good question: What happens to the characters once the book is closed, and how do the characters feel about reenacting the same story over and over again for eternity? And all in all, I thought that mother and daughter didn't I really good job of writing out this plan.

The romance was predictable, like any fairytale romance, and the ending wasn't exactly ideal. Like I said before, it wasn't one of my favorite stories, but it was a fun read, and I found that I couldn't put it down once I got into it.

Super cute concept. Kind of like Toy Story but, substitute the toys for a book and add some teen-romance.

Very cute and easy to read. Don't go in thinking it will be like her other books because it couldn't be more different.

No great literary work but a sweet and simple fairy tale. A quick and easy read. I liked it a lot. 3.5 stars.

This book is hard to rate because I don't think I am its target audience. I feel like my younger self would have loved it, but my 28 year old self found it difficult to suspend my disbelief completely, which is what the story requires.

Cute story but I did have some questions along the way about the plot. For example, the story always resets itself and brings the characters back to their places when the book is open (which also prevents the characters from speaking anything other than their "lines"); but Oliver could occasionally speak something other than his assigned "lines"? Little things like that irked me about the book. Overall, it was a fun, quick read with just a few discrepancies that slowed me down.

A cute teen fairy tale. Held my interest throughout. Story is told from 3 different perspectives...third person story and in first person from both the hero and heroine. Beautiful illustrations and even print is in different colors, depending on who is telling the story in each chapter. A fun, quick read.

I really enjoyed this novel. It is a fun, light hearted story about what happens to the fictional characters after the book is closed. I look forward to reading the sequel to find out what happens next.
