I’m enjoying going through the Miss Marple books in order. It’s been really enjoyable to watch the development of the character we all know and love so much!
Good mystery, good plot, enjoyed a lot. :)

This was my first Agatha Christie novel. Interesting story for sure. It was set in probably the 20s-50s in England, which made some of the language tough to grasp. Quick read in one day. I prefer modern era mysteries though.

Agatha Christie books are timeless! I always love reading her books when I want something entertaining, light and well written for a mystery. I’m always amazed at her writing but also her understanding of psychology and how good her books continue to be after all these years!

Once again, I was surprised by the ending and enjoyed the ride. I enjoyed Miss Marple more in this book then the 1st one of the series, [b:Murder at the Vicarage|16331|Murder at the Vicarage (Miss Marple, #1)|Agatha Christie|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1388386575s/16331.jpg|2589654]. She outwits everyone in the end and I’m glad the police are finally understanding that they need her on the team.
Note to self: Do not disregard smart old ladies that notice all the details.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and will be reading more Miss Marple books in the future!!

A delightful return to the Miss Marple series after several years of neglect on my part. The Body in the Library was built solidly on the device often used whereas an early morning alarm is raised by a maid making the discovery that there's a body in the library!
This installment had a really humorous start, but that level of comedy slowly tapered off by the end. I was also a bit underwhelmed by the motive and the resultant multi-step murder that seemed to have been made complex for author's sake, rather than something truly believable for a murderer to have concocted. Nevertheless, Christie's writing is generally the type that makes you remember why you like cozy mysteries in the first place.

Her voice and performance seem perfectly suited to Christie and her characters.

The tv adaptation was so so bad. This book is much better. It's amazing how Miss Marple studies human emotions. Even a single makeup
