The original bait and switch - it holds up very well. This is Agatha Christie at her best: it’s got complex but not too complex setup, some tropes, some original ideas. Miss Marple is more of a central character than in some other Marple books.

i fear i'm starting to get annoyed by miss marple just going I Figured It Out and then the reader doesn't know anything and also she won't say who it is until the very end

Fun little mystery novel. Miss Marples is a wonderful character and it's nice seeing her work through a mystery in style.

3.5 rounded down- this wasn’t my favorite Christie so far, though I do love Miss Marple! I felt it dragged in some places and the ending wasn’t entirely satisfying. Good on audio!
