This was my first book from this author and I was not disappointed at all. Omg I loved Carter and Austin’s story and the banter they had together. I loved Austin and how alpha male he was and how Carter was a badass chick when she needed to be. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Very sweet romance. It did feel very done to me. Like I had read very similar many times. I really like the characters though, and I enjoyed their progression. The twist was very predictable unfortunately.

I like it when romance novels actually have a story and attempt to develop characters, rather than jump from love scene to love scene. I liked this book for that.

I did, however, think the characters and timeline needed a little finess and refinement. Overall I liked the book and thought it was tastefully done. I'm excited to know that this is the author's debut and I think her subsequent books are probably going to be just as good or better.

The perfect roller coaster of emotion

Further to Fall is one of those books that hooks you from the get go and reels you in nice and slow. And every once in a while, there’s a snag or bump along the way.

I truly love Carter and Austin. Their internal and external battles keep you on the edge of your seat and turning page after page.

3.5 stars ( good but I am going to be a bit critical in judging this one - super addicting read that I couldn’t put down but I had some issues)

Okay okay. This book had a VERY strong start!! Although Austin was hard and rigid at first you get to see that he is SUPER caring and gentle with Carter!

She reminded me a lot of myself because she was more innocent . I truly loved their blossoming friendship. However, I asked myself it’s so good now in the beginning what’s going to happen !?!

THENNN the middle of the book happened .

*spoiler*

Soo basically carter has an awful roommate. And she finds her doing sexual stuff with Austin. Austin is drunk and barely remembers BUT UMMMMM
OKAY

they weren’t an official thing so they weren’t dating . BUTTT THEY BOTH CLEARLY CARED FOR EACH OTHER AND SPENT EVERY WAKING MOMENT TOGETHER.

ISNT THAT BASICALLY CHEATING!?! Is it just me!?

NO ONE SAID THAT IT WAS CHEATING OR ANYTHING!! Obviously carter was hurt as she should be and then Austin was acting stupid in the middle of the book, drinking and partying.

It may have slightly turned me off to him.

Also Austin was kinda over protective!! I like protective but I think some of it may have been a bit over the top! I cringed slightly at some parts!

Also something was ALWAYYYS HAPPENING TO CARTER. She got attacked at school, and then got threatening messages etc

I was like wow so much drama happening! It seemed like the author was throwing in as much as she could to reinforce the Austin protective character and Carter as an innocent naive peppy girl.

I truly did love Austin and carter and loved his love for her! But also, I’m just like are there guys really like this?? He buys her two dogs, and tends to her every NEEDD, and buys her a million things! HES rich but I’m like okay wow Tis dude literally does EVERYTHING AND NEVER COMPLAINS EVER !?!??

Although I am saying many disappointing things I DID stay up super late to read this! I was kinda hooked and finished reading it on my job!!! LOL OOPS!

I don’t regret reading it ! I know a lot of people won’t mind this book and the alpha male stuff!!

I read a lot of books and was given a free copy from Hidden Gems so this is a voluntary review and I’m more than happy to say this story deserves more than five stars. Right from the beginning I was hooked. The characters are well developed. I feel I know them. The romance between Carter and Austin is so moving. There were parts that made my heartache and parts that brought me such a happy feeling. The story moves right along and I hated to put it down. There were parts I was worried where the story might lead but I was happy with the way the author handled the issues. The secondary characters brought so much to the story. I’m hoping there will be more book about them. I will be putting this author on my watch list.

4.5 stars!!!

description

I never would've been able to guess that Further to Fall was Catherine's debut novel. It was FANTASTIC. It reminded me of the early books I used to read, such as Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.

Carter was a FIERCE heroine. She was funny and such a likable character with her clumsiness and all. 😉 The back and forth between her and Austin was HIGHLY entertaining. And all The side characters played just a big of a role as those two.

The reason why I rated this 4.5 stars, and you're probably going to think I'm crazy, but I liked the relationship between Austin and Carter before they got together. I liked their chemistry and banter better before anything happened between them.

I can't help, but wonder if any of the other characters will be getting their own story, but no matter what, I'll be keeping an eye out for ALL of her future books.

This book was good

I really wasn’t expecting the stalker part of the story honestly. I thought it was really good and fun to read.
