So I enjoyed this one, but it’s not my favorite of Catherine’s. Perhaps because it’s an earlier book, I felt like this one was a bit clunkier. The dialogue between the main characters, Carter and Austin, was a bit awkward at moments.
I did like seeing the way their relationship progressed over the course of the book. Seeing them build a very good friendship, take a break, then come back together and become more.
Overall this was an enjoyable and quick read. And I am looking forward to reading many more by Catherine.

blue, my love.
i love how this story unfolds and even those some of the plot is predictable i still enjoyed it quite a bit.
the author might join my auto-buy list if I'm being honest.
there is banter and fun but it also touched a lot of deep routed issue, in men in particular and I really loves it. I loved that
Austin is so protective but it comes from a good heart and he's a MMA fighter teaching little kids and his girlfriend how to defends themselves.
And carter is this sweet teacher who see the world like the kids she teaches and has a violent wake-up call when someone stalks her.

i think this book had so much going on and because of that story felt very busy and rushed. i think the pacing and time line of this story was a tad off and i was not super connected to the male lead but loved carter and the side characters. i liked how ctherine took this as a starting point for her fuute supsense series.

When I read the blurb for Further to Fall by Catherine Cowles, I was intrigued. MMA fighter meets school teacher. One wants to jump head first, and the other wants to hold her at arm's length. Carter met Austin by chance and it takes them a bit to finally get on the same page, but that isn't the end of their story.
I liked the characters and the premise of the story, however, I felt like the story lacked in some spots. It moved slowly and dragged during several scenes. That said, I did enjoy the story for the most part and give this one 3.5 stars.

no just no; this was so misogynistic and come on he treated like his damn wife and got mad when she couldn’t be friends anymore cause she loved him what a dick AND he was fucking through women and she’s just holding onto her virginity more hope i hate that storyline

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review
This was a new to me author and I must admit I went into reading the book with no expectations. The stroyline, the characters ... it all blew me away.
This is one of the best ‘fighter’ book I have read in such a long time and Austin... omg we all want an Austin in our lives.
Would highly recommend this book to all
