My new one-click author!

I'm so happy I was able to discover this author and read her debut book! It was sweet and funny with some suspense thrown in for good measure! I loved this friends to lovers romance with Carter and Austin. Perfect debut book!

I loved this book. Catherine Cowles wrote with such clarity and descriptiveness that I could feel the emotions of the characters as if I were there in person. I loved that it isn't the rock star that Carter falls for, but the sulky friend. Austin, an aspiring MMA fighter thinks Carter is one of the band groupies that hang around his friend Liam and is really rather unpleasant to her at their first meeting. Liam soon puts Austin straight and makes him go apologise and make things right with Carter. They built a deep friendship but Austin is holding back as he has been hurt so badly in the past. Carter is a pretty schoolteacher who has been holding out for the right person, so that losing her virginity is something special. With a psycho, an abusive parent and a jealous roommate in the mix, this is no run of the mill love story. Well worth diving into.

I think I enjoy the Catherine Cowles style, except this was in a big city for once.
