Idk I was totally team this one guy.. And that didn't work out.. So, it's like, I'm sorta upset.. But.. I'll have to come back to this one.

Ok I'm back because I have to get this off my chest.

I LIKED BLAIRE. I liked that she was sassy, brash, hard, unforgiving, and upfront. I liked that she was HARD to like. But to me she was REAL. I get that characters evolve, because at some point they have to be able to be relatable and lovable (blah, blah, blah).. And absolutely someone has to win or lose but damn.

I wanted Blaire to stay Blaire because she was so freaking entertaining. I (personally) felt like she changed too much and in the end she wasn't the Blaire I loved so much in Easy Virtue.

Anyways, this little rant got off topic, it's more about me wanting something different from a book that wasn't meant to take that route.

I liked that Blaire was different than that of some of my favorite characters and I wanted a follow through that did her personality justice. I don't know, probably not the popular feeling but hey it's mine so whatever.

So? No Rating, but still respect.
I get it, may not like it, but I get it.

Im having mixed feelings on this book. Maybe it's the total concept of the story or the unlikable Blaire or how Ronan acted in the beginning. I didn't think Blaire should have ended with anyone. Anyways there was just something that was off for me.

Sweetest Venom is the long awaited follow-up to Mia Asher's Easy Virtue. Since book one ends on a cliffhanger, Sweetest Venom cannot be read as a standalone.

As Blaire tries to avoid her true feelings and dispel love altogether, her worlds collide when she least expects it.

"Men don't fall in love with women like you, Blaire. They lose their f$&*@/g minds."

Ronan is living basically as a shell. He so desperately tries to get over his feelings for Blaire, but heartbreak prevails. He is cruel and hurtful, but you can't help but feel so sorry for him. His attitude is warranted, in my opinion.

"I'm changing, and the man I used to be is becoming more of a memory with each day that passes by."

Lawrence is in the picture as Blaire's new interest, but as he gets to know her, he also can't deny his feelings for the captivating woman.

"You make hell feel like heaven, Blaire."

Let's talk about feelings. I knew Sweetest Venom would take me on an emotional roller coaster, but this was truly unexpected. Mia Asher knows how to pull emotions out of a story like no other (read Arsen if you haven't), but man, this book! There were amazing highs followed by tragic lows and turns taken out of left field. It's amazing, that at 97% through Sweetest Venom, we truly have no idea how it will end. And the end! It was so perfect. I am, and always will be #TeamBlaire.

I'll end my review with this gif.

All the characters grew in this book. I loved how things turned out to be. I maybe didn't like the ending, it seemed as if things were happening too quickly. But I'm glad for Blaire and the person she turned out to be.

4 Frustratingly Beautiful Stars….

This is part 2 of Blair, Lawrence, and Ronan’s story. And I have to say I can’t recall a book that I had to put down because I was so frustrated with my own emotions.
I love him, I hate him, I love him, I hate him. Why can’t I choose… this is going on in my head the whole time I am reading… Frustrating I KNOW!!
Blaire, oh Blaire I can’t blame this girl she hasn’t had an easy life and she falls back on what she knows. Keeping herself safe and protected at all cost. Only in the process she hurts those around her. She grows so much in this book and she breaks my heart in it too. I can’t fault her for her choices who could? You see her struggle just as much with everything and everyone.

Awe Lawrence this sweet, sweet man has my heart. He is so stoic being hurt before he doesn’t want to go through that again so he put safe guards up. If paying for it will helps so be it, he does that so that he doesn’t have to feel that kind of loss again. When I picture him in my mine he is this strong formidable man with a soft center who needs the love of a good women. For the record I am totally Team Lawrence! 

Ronan oh boy she puts him through his paces. She breaks his heart at the end of the last book so we know he is going to be in some deep pain. And boy howdy I can’t help but feel for him and what his heart is going through. I wanted him to fight, fight, and fight for her. Watching him in this book I can’t tell if I like what he has become or if I fear it. You can’t have what you want so what is your choice? Move on or Wallow? I think he did a little of both… naughty, naughty Ronan… Yummy, Yummy Ronan.

Both of these men are amazing in their own right and to have loved and lost can’t be easy but how do you choose? How do you decide who you can’t live without? Can you love two people? These are some of the questions I asked myself while reading this book. Heck I even had a one sided convo with the hubs about these guys. That’s funny now that I think about it. Poor Hubby. Lmao

So I leave you with a confused head and heart because this book took all my emotions and threw them back at me. With these quotes,

“You make hell feel like heaven, Blaire.”

“Simple. I saw a man who wanted more.”

“I hate you for making me love you, and I hate myself because I can’t stop.”

“Give me a thousand lives and a thousand eternities, and I would still find you and make you mine. Always.”

“One lifetime wouldn’t be enough when I’m with you, babe.”

“There’s no room for logic when the heart is involved. To love is to lose all senses of reason.” - My favorite.

OMG! This was so SO SO GOOD!!! I didn't think that Easy Virtue could be beat, but this was fantastic. The angst, the ping-ponging between who I wanted Blair to be with AHHH.

I was totally #TeamBlaire and I was so happy she found a HEA with the issues she was battling with herself. I was happy with the ending as a whole itself, although my body was on pins and needles LITERALLY until the end of the book with no clue on who she was going to pick. I can't even imagine being Blaire because my heart wouldn't be able to decide.

I kind of liked that Ronan's character was so pissed off for the majority of the book. I guess I like my H's a little nutty. He came back with a vengeance in this book like..

AND THEN THE LAST 10% HAD ME FRANTIC LIKE WAIT... WHO...WHERE...WHAT IS GONNA HAPPEN HERE? Bravo Ms. Asher...

If you're an angst whore (or a fellow Canadian ... whoure*) like me, read this series NOW! Solid 5 stars!

I literally didn’t know if these characters were EVER getting together. Kept me strung along until the VERY end.
