This is book two and definitely need to read book one before going any further. So if you have not read book one, I don't recommend reading this review.

Sweetest Venom starts exactly where Easy Virtue ends.. that brutal cliffhanger. Where we find out that Ronan is a driver for Lawrence. Which is the reason she met both men in the same night.. what are the odds of never loving anyone, but then falling in love with two men at the same time and meeting them both the same night.
THIS IS HER KARMA.. poor thing.

Blaire feels as if she has been hit by a train with this information. She truly loved Ronan, but felt like she had to let him go because she felt undeserving and those feelings were uncomfortable for her to have.

Anyways, she tries her best to come off as cold hearted and Ronan believes her. But in the midst of playing pretend with Lawrence, she ends up falling in love with him. Loving two men is hard, especially when you don't love yourself. But the love she feels for them are both different.

In the end she is left back at square one.. feeling worse than ever before.

I absolutely love how this book played out. I loved how she needed to learn to forgive her past in order to move on to her future.
The trials in getting there was so freaking tough.

ADD THIS TO BOOKS THAT MADE ME CRY!!

My only gripe is I wanted an epilogue. I wanted more of an HEA. But this book was literally so good. I will NEVER stop thinking about it.

Overdramatic but I couldn't stop reading it Ronan and Blaire are imperfect and their unconventional love story was entertaining.

What a roller coaster of emotions. I didn’t always like this book, but I always felt something, and for that… I’ll give it 4.5 stars.

This is a continuation of the first book which left us hanging to find out what happens to Blaire. Will she end up with Ronan or Lawrence or alone. I really enjoyed this one. I ended up really liking Blaine and of course, Ronan was the man I hoped she would end up with if she could only get out of her own way.

I really really really hate to give this book such a low rate, but I was expecting much more.
I feel so disappointed because I absolutely adored and devoured the first one in one sitting, and I couldn't wait to read the sequel, but right now I think I would have feel content with the way things ended, and maybe imagining some alternative ending myself.

First of all, one of the things that captivated me from the first book was Blaire's personality. So cold, so shallow, so independent and selfish... I never read a character like her before, and I loved the way Ronan changed everything for her and the pace things happened then. But now... she was just annoying and immature. I can understand why she acted like she did, based on the family she had. Now we see something completely different, and I don't know how to feel about that. It's like we're reading a completely different story this time around.

With completely different characters too... I couldn't recognize any of them. Ronan.... what happened to the sweet, amazing and caring Ronan? This person wasn't him. I could barely stand him.

Lawrence... I think his character was perfect for the story in the first book. Now he was weak and vulnerable and his feelings for Blaire seemed easy and conventional.

Blaire was just... lost. She was rolling between feelings, and I don't think she knew what was feeling and for who. She was just going with the wind at the moment. Mia's love triangles are the most captivating and amazingly written ever, but this time I didn't know what was feeling either.
Spoiler I mean... I couldn't understand her, one night she calls Ronan telling him how much she misses him... the next day she sees him and pretends she hates him? Now she loves Lawrence and is sure he's the man he wants in her life... the next morning she hates him too because she's sure Ronan is the love of her life. Same thing with Lawrence and Ronan... They love her, next second they hate her and act terrible towards her...

At some point I got kinda tired of following Blaire's decisions and actions... That rollercoaster was exhausting and confusing, and I even wanted to finish reading. I rolled my eyes a lot during this story.

Also, there's one more thing I didn't like at all.
SpoilerThe way Ronan's sister acted was bitchy and so cliché. So typical of the villain to tell the heroine to stay away from the hero for his own good. Also, I don't think Blaire's decision to leave him after everything that happened with Ronan was realistic. There had to be other ways to make him change his mind, to explain things to him like two adult and reasonable people. That part of the book was so frustrating and overused.

The good things? The sex scenes. Those were amazing, all of them. So much feeling, so many emotions very well described and detailed. And the book is easy to read, short and fast paced. The ending was good after all, I'm glad she took those decisions and became the person we get too know at the end.

I'm so happy that this book has so many 5stars and good reviews, because I love this author and I need to read more of her. I just didn't like this book as much as the first one, it wasn't for me.
