This book was dark. It took me longer to get through because it was so heavy. However, I still really enjoyed this book!
My heart broke for Talia and everything she had been through. Being betrayed by someone she trusted and then being forced into a marriage.
But that marriage may have been the best thing to happen to her because she fought to live vs giving up.
Alexei has his own battles he is fighting. He has a secret that others can’t find out about or it could be the end of him. He needs a wife so that he can get out of marrying who is set for him so he weds Talia. As these two become closer they start to heal each other but others would like to see them torn apart.
While I got upset with Alexei a few times he was willing to ☠️ everyone who harmed Talia no matter the consequences.

Amazing
I really liked this book. The character change is good and credible. The way the story is told makes it even better. The author alternated between the points of views of the two main characters.

Wow
I loved this book. I knew from the previous book Talia's story would 've been a dark read given the subject matter, and I wonder how it prevail to a happy ending. But prevail it did. I was hooked from the start and read it in one sitting.
An enthralling storyline that doesn't let you go from the start. Your so emerged into their world that nothing outside of it exists while you read.
I adored Talia. I loved her strong spirit despite her actions at the beginning. I loved her love for Alexei and I loved how after everything that had happened to get, she had the capacity to forgive Alexei for the short time he had a tantrum and made her pay for someone else's wrong doings.
Alexei is a gentle, damaged soul, dealing with his insecurities and (defections) by isolating himself. A man who needs so little fixing is always sexy if your the one to fix him and that is exactly what Alexei is this book. I loved him from the start and could easily his actions towards Talia knowing he would make it right.
Highly recommended.

This is my second time reading this book and first time leaving a review because at the time I didn't realize the importance of more than just ranking the books.
This entire series is fantastic but this book might be my favorite. Strong characters, great storyline, steamy moments that might come close to melting your kindle, and intense Bratvya action.
I enjoyed the push and pull in regards to Alexsi and Talia, especially, as they both were dealing with some pretty intense baggage. I will say that the story itself is gritty and brutal at times. I was all in watching these two amazing characters fall-in-love.
Highly recommend this series and this book. It can be read as a standalone but I definitely would go back and read them all because it is that good.
