Pulling at the seams
I was a little worried about Talia and Alexei's story or even how it could top the previous. It did! Talia was so broken my heart literally bleed for her. Alexei's journey was no different. I truly felt her break and mend. Magna and Franco stole my heart just as the main characters.
I hope Tanaka gets her own book- if not I will be so disappointed. I've become a big fan of A. Zavarelli.
My only problem (which is just me lol) is 'Marilyn Mason's Coma white' should have been in this playlist!
To me that would be Talia's song.

This book was dark. It took me longer to get through because it was so heavy. However, I still really enjoyed this book!
My heart broke for Talia and everything she had been through. Being betrayed by someone she trusted and then being forced into a marriage.
But that marriage may have been the best thing to happen to her because she fought to live vs giving up.
Alexei has his own battles he is fighting. He has a secret that others can’t find out about or it could be the end of him. He needs a wife so that he can get out of marrying who is set for him so he weds Talia. As these two become closer they start to heal each other but others would like to see them torn apart.
While I got upset with Alexei a few times he was willing to ☠️ everyone who harmed Talia no matter the consequences.

alexei pissed me off. i had great expectations, but they went down the drain.
this was nothing but smut, smut and smut (which felt uncomfortable considering talia’s past) without any plot.

I have just finished this story and I'm so sad to see it it end. I have come to love these characters. All the characters in this series of books. Ronin will always be special to to me but Alexi is strong, damaged and to protective of the loves of his life. This book was an a emotional read and I loved every minute of it. I hope the author continues to write of these characters I love so much. I have that the series will go on so that a reader can continue to be a part of these characters lives.
