sehr wichtiges thema, mochte das ende super gerne :)
aber — leider eben durch das setting auch eintönig und schwer zu lesen und tragisch as fuck. und ich fand das world building sehr unlogisch
und, so ganz unterbewusst fühlte sich das Buch durchaus sexistisch an. und klar auch frauen mussten auch zur wall, aber die militärmenschen und politiker:innen die explizit vorkamen waren nur männer, die familienstruktur der kavangh's war sehr stereotypisch, die männer waren im endeffekt eher stark, könnten mehr und haben eher überlebt? ist aber meckern auf hohem niveau I guess

I did not like this at all... It felt so boring and kind of stereotypic?
The worst thing tho was how much people cheated in this book. I just couldn't vibe with that, because are you telling me I'm supposed to root for anyone that cheats in my books?? I'm sorry, but that's not happening? It just makes me incredibly uncomfortable, even if I know that's a reality.
ESPECIALLY because the relationship didn't flow very naturally? Like, I did not understand why they love each other and want to be together, despite their hardships.
The art style wasn't my cup of tea either, sorry
