This was the right book at the right time for me. Really enjoyed it, even though it doesn't check my typical boxes.

Although the book feels rushed and like an advertisement for other books/courses by the end, the overall impact is so profound that I have to give it five stars. If you are a Christian, you need to read this book. If you are in church leadership, you really MUST read this book. It isn't too long and it is easy to read. The first few chapters are absolutely transformative and the last few chapters only suffer because they try to pack in too much information (and thus require referencing other resources). This book has changed how I do things within my family and how I interact with my church family.

This is a delightful, very short book. I enjoyed the nostalgia because it made me remember my dad, and I enjoyed another glimpse into the Port William characters.

As a fan of The Once and Future King and nature writing and as someone whose dad died less than 2 months ago, this was the right book at the right time for me.

I love Mark Buchanan's thoughtful, almost poetic prose. This is my new favorite book on Sabbath.
