Does anyone need a review of Poe? It's great stuff, though some of the poems didn't connect with me. Though, I'm not a poetry guy.

As much as I love this series, I feel like this book is treading water. We are introduced to characters with long arcs that never impact the main plot.

Others are utilized to set up a trap that doesn't resolve in this book and Jane's extended quest is not much farther along than it was by the end of the previous book.

I am still locked in on the series, but here's hoping book 4 explodes out of the starting blocks to make up for the stumbles in this book.

I love this book. Miss Barnes has found a delightfully playful, irreverent and visceral flavor and it makes reading about Forest, Hawk, Gabriel...and even Wynn a thoroughly enjoyable affair.

Miss Barnes, grasp on her characters and interweaving plotlines grows stronger and the novel progresses which makes up for some hiccups in the early chapters, so if you hit a few bumps keep going.

I look forward to her next outing. Hopefully, now that introductions are done and the characters are raring to go, she'll can really let loose and show us what she, and Forest can do.
