4.5 stars!
I enjoyed this even more than the first book! Kitari and Bryce are so different to Arcay and Clay, partially because of their personalities and partially from book 1’s lessons. They’re better at communication, more inclined towards kindness, and absolutely smitten with each other. Personally I loved that difference.
I rooted for this couple from the get-go. With their logic, love, and sense of adventure, they were a breath of fresh air compared to the humans and alpha aliens. As each of them fell, you couldn’t help falling in love with them. I especially loved Bryce. He lives and loves vibrantly with his heart on his sleeve, and I wanna adopt him.
Both of them look so good on the cover too. Major kudos to the artist because the art is gorgeous!
I have some questions I’m curious about, such as what marks some humans as omega and some not? Also curious about [redacted]’s story coming up!
Overall a great addition to the series! I seriously adore this couple so much.
I think this book would have been so cool as its own series—elf prince falls in love with vampire captive, helps him escape fae realm—but all the amazing parts of the story happened off-page in the past. Instead, this is a slice of them admitting feelings to each other after all those adventures.
I feel like we got one side dish from what could’ve been a complex extravagant meal of a story. I understand that fits in with the one-book-per-vampire rhythm of the series, but a little sad we didn’t get to see more.

If you loved Matehub: Legend, you’ll probably love this. The humor, the mutual pining, the BFF-to-lovers cuteness, and of course the knots are all excellent. Fair warning, there’s like 100 nerdy astronomy jokes and references.
These best-friends-turned-lovers don’t have a single braincell between them, despite one of them attending Harvard Law, and I for one think it’s adorable. Gotta love it.

4.25 stars.
This series cheers me up every time. You have this Virginia frat house that’s ride-or-die for the queer and POC brothers while being very goofy and bro-y, and it’s just so refreshing. Amazing characters. I loved the “drag for charity” scene, and even though his book was the previous one, Marty still stole the show. Also loved meeting Charlie, I’m excited for his book coming up.
It’s neat to see Casey and Briar’s (very hot) story, and while Briar’s trust issues were frustrating at first, they’re pretty understandable later on. Love their dynamic.
Book 2 is still my favorite, but this and book 1 are tied for second.
