I wasn't sure what to make of this book.
There were certainly different stages of the reading experience....which is crazy to say about something so short.
At first, I was intrigued by the strangeness.
Then, halfway through, I was full of.....something akin to dread? The books had gotten very philosophical, and what causes me dread and an attack of the 3am-thoughts? Philosophy and accepting your state in the universe at large. I am not the one for that, it makes me feel claustrophobic. 😂
And then, third act took another turn, and as I finished the last sentence, I realized that this is actually quite brilliant. No dread. Only laughter from a couple of parts.....and realizing that I actually really enjoyed this weird little book.
Is it an instant favorite? No.
But I think I've convinced my husband to read it, and he rarely picks up a book. And I know this is one that I will be revisiting in a year or two.
