aaah i missed them

started reading this series back in 2022 bc ku recommended it to me, and i love randomly reading silly smutty books available on ku. however, did not expect to become THIS invested in this series and be here 5 seasons/40 episodes later!! this series somehow manages to charm you because the relationship starts a little/very questionable and then spends the following 30+ books unpacking it, with these two characters who love each other and try to make their relationship work for them, getting what they want from each other, while they grow and change. it's honestly kind of very sweet! moray is really good at writing these characters; they shine the more you read as they grow and develop; with really interesting and good conversations about kink negotiations, consent, monogamy, etc etc, and, of course, the smut is hot, too! it's the smuttiest thing i've read that isn't on ao3!

this specific episode/installment/novella focuses more on the jack/channon/ewan/nate dynamic (i would call it a polycule, but it isn't a polycule bc they are not technically dating each other? they're all best friends with each other, but also a little bit more than friends?). specifically on how this relationship will probably change with jack and channon getting married. we also got jack and ewan finally putting aside their mutual dislike for each other, at least for now, and finding some common ground with each other that's not only about loving channon (and nate). again, love seeing their development!! this one was a little lower on the steam, but happy to spend any amount of time with these characters!!

excited for the next episodes (final episodes, i guess?). hope the wait isn't too long as the one for this one!!! thank you so much to the author for the arc!!! <3
