This book was really interesting! I loved the dynamic of how this book links to carry on and I found the relationship between the two main characters to be very endearing!

This honestly used to be my favourite book. Now looking back on it, I feel like it’s fairly problematic. It seems more like a book about Eleanor than a book about Park. Though there are things that I love in this book, such as poor families and representation of different body types, this book has its issues. The ending of this book ended up leaving me with more questions than answers, and I just don’t know how I feel about that. I feel like more information about Park would have been lovely, about his ethnicity and how he deals with the world he lives in.

This was one of the first LGBT books I’d ever read, the representation made me so so happy! I don’t know if I was unaware when I first started this (years ago lol) but I absolutely did not see the twist coming! I felt a real connection between Baz and Simon, and that makes me happy :)

I wish there was more poetry, a lot of the songs that were written in this book are beautiful though and I’m glad to have it! I just wish more new content was given as the lyrics are available online for free. But I understand that the lyrics are Florence’s work and she should be allowed to use them whenever!

I’ve reread this book probably around four times, it is a beautiful and tragic book and actually made me cry! The ending with all of the death and the reveals and everything was just amazing! But be warned that this book is /very/ sad, I recently found out there is a sequel and I will definitely be reading that along with other books by the same author!
