Did not finish book. Stopped at 15%.

The first Sweetpea novel was absolutely brilliant. The second was basically a long winded epilogue to the first book and the third seems to just be writing for writing's sake.
It's a harsh review, but I think my interest depleted by the end of the second book.
I implore fans to continue if they really enjoy it, but my interest has sadly waned.

Spider-Man: Venom vs. Carnage by Peter Milligan

This is a weird book.
I love the art style: oil painting, reflective and smooth - but sometimes the artist really confuses me. The shapes of people are so warped and weird. A lot of people have faces like shovels. It also seems really wet looking and the hair is really viney and confusing when you also have Venom and Carnage with all their strings and stretchy flesh.
Basically it's a bit of a mess to look at.
I'm really not a fan of how overly sexualised Black Cat is either. I never have a qualm with showing anatomy and having a bit of creative freedom with specifically how female characters are drawn, but this just feels seedy and off.
It looks like someone published a fan-made pornographic parody.
The dialogue is very dumb and basic. If it's wasn't made in the early 2000s, I'd be convinced it was all just AI generated.
I struggled to finish this, but felt like I should, to give a full opinion of how had this was. I do not recommend to anyone.

I would have enjoyed this far more if I had read a previous run, Dark Knights: Metal. Sadly, I was in the dark about a lot of relevant lore.
Still good, just spent a lot of time in the dark.

Good, but too many different stories for me. "Urban Legends", so it's doing exactly what it's supposed to, but I didn't gel with it sadly. Loved the first one though!

I have no idea who Cash Cole or the WILDC.A.T.S are, so the second half of this took a while to engage with. It definitely took my interest in the end, though.
The first half was excellent!
