Radical Acceptance: Embracing Your Life With the Heart of a Buddha by Tara Brach, Jack Kornfield
3.5
Not an entertaining read but I'm glad I read it. It's useful. I still don't really understand the whole awareness thing, though.
The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware

Could have used another round of copyediting. The mistakes took me out of the story.
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman

It's entertaining, and I knew there were several books, but I didn't realize it was going to end abruptly in the middle of the game.
This Naked Mind: Control Alcohol, Find Freedom, Discover Happiness & Change Your Life by Annie Grace

It is very repetitive, but she says that is my design. I recommend breaking it up into small chunks. It's not as fun as Quit Like a Woman, but I think it is very useful and less Goopy.

It was hard to keep track of all the (presumably) straight white couples with one daughter and one son, and I was disappointed that the mystery was solved barely halfway through the book, but it kept my attention.

I feel like Quit Like a Woman summed this book well enough that I don't need to read the whole thing.

Did you know you can solve anxiety by just staring at your nose? This is an example of one of the very simple tips in this book.
Quit Like a Woman: The Radical Choice to Not Drink in a Culture Obsessed with Alcohol by Holly Whitaker
4.5
I usually have to force-feed myself self-help books, but I didn't want to put this one down. Even if you're not trying to quit drinking, this book would be helpful as it teaches you how to build a life you don't need to escape from. Took off half a star because a lot of her suggestions do involve having money and are a little new agey for me, but you can easily ignore those parts.
