Batman Beyond, Volume 3: The Long Payback by Dan Jurgens

Did not finish book. Stopped at 12%.
Gotham Games opener is a f*ucking mess. I was excited to read Shriek again, but this is just a jumble of poorly laid panels. The writing's not bad, but its so hard to follow because the paneling is a nightmare.

This made me nostalgic for the TV show, but would've loved to see more development from Terminal's perspective. One of the cooler things about the Batman line is its focus on villains and their development as characters. Yes, Terry's return is compelling but his reunion of Dana felt empty. It didn't mesh with main plot even though it was part of it?

As for the reveal - only Terminal could've pulled this off - Carter is problematic to begin with but when Terminal is triggered, he's an outright menace - a brilliant menace.  I refuse to believe he's dead mainly because [NO SPOILER] beat the living crap out of Jason Todd with a crow bar once, and that boy survived.

Writer 'Albert' and artus Tang Eun Ji have made an artform out of large-breasted men and the thick, muscular dudes who want them. It's the closest thing to comedic gei-komi (bara is not a term I like to use) I've seen in a webtoon and I hope they make another series.

It took a long time for this volume to get released, but overall I was satisfied with how SB ended it. Do not regret buying at all, considering the rarity of gay stories published that feature grown men.

This series is about mature gays in the suit-wearing Yakuza and all the drama that comes when once falls in love with the wrong damned man.
