The woman in me was such a powerful read. As I’m sure you guys know by now I don’t like to star rate memoirs because I don’t believe in writing someone’s personal experience, but if I could recommend any memoir for you to start reading, this would be the one!

I read this as an audiobook, and the narrator did such a great job of capturing the emotion that I can tell Britney put into this. It gave a lot of insight into a lot of the events that I’m sure we all are familiar with having watched unfold through the media, especially in the late 2000s. Overall, this story was emotional and my heart goes out to this beautiful woman ❤️

“You are everything I have never been, and will never be good enough for. Your friends know it, and I’ve carried it around with me all this time – that I do not deserve you.”

While I’m so sad that this was the final book (I put it off solely because I didn’t want it to end), I couldn’t have imagined a better ending to an amazing series. Nesta’s story alone is amazing and I love how much she grew as a character but I especially loved reading about Gwyn and Emerie, 2 females who despite all odds against them, rose above and conquered way more than they have dreamed of ❤️

“What the actual hell did I just read” - my exact thoughts after I finished the final page of this thrilling novel 😳 this book was chilling to the bone and made me feel absolutely terrified. Not to mention I read most of this at night while trying to put the baby back to sleep so that might have been my fault 😂

Overall, this book was an insanely good read and I recommend it if you enjoy a good thriller with shocking ends ❤️

“Another bit she’d nearly forgotten: how her mother could leave her questioning the value of her deeds or even aspects of her personality.”
