I think maybe I just read this book at the right time for me. My fiance died recently and this book helped me feel like someday I could move on. It was also really interesting about mushrooms. Very cool.

I'm not much of a romance reader, but I really enjoyed this. It was very realistic while still being very cutem the characters grow on you quickly. The first chapter/part isn't that great but the other three totally go up in quality.

My least favorite of the Discworld books I've read so far, but it's still funny! I just think the world building here fell flat, and I didn't think Terry handled spoofing Ancient Egypt as well as he does for European stuff. It is an early Discworld book though, so he doesn't really have his feet under him. It is worth a read!!

Voting
"You SHOT the ambassador?"
"You gave me the gun!"
as my favorite exchange in fiction.

Really good political intreague. Loveable characters, who are all very complex. Does take a while to get sucked into. Kinda weird about slavery, but it is slavery in the Ancient Grecian sense, not chattel slavery.

GREAT mystery thriller! Docked .25 points because it did drag a bit at certain points and I didn't personally care for the romance, though it was very well written

This is a hard book, requires reading a lot of passages multiple times to understand but it is so beautiful. There is a reason it is a modern classic.

I see people saying it's funny, but it isn't a comedy book. It made me feel seen.
