Digital Minimalism: Choosing a Focused Life in a Noisy World by Cal Newport

Quick and easy read with lots of information about how being constantly plugged in impacts our brains and ideas on how to change your habits. As someone who has watched a lot of “I quit social media” YouTube videos, there’s not a ton of new information but it was nice to have it in one place and it sinks in more every time I hear it .

While not as great as the first installment, and there’s a few things I’d change, still a great conclusion to the series.

I enjoyed this even more on reread. This story is so weird and original and I’m glad to be back in the world.

This fantasy world mixes a con, political intrigue, and own-world gods and magic like tarot cards and astrology in a twisting tale. I’m excited for the rest of the series!

An interesting compilation of plants that have historically been used as poisons or seen as harmful in some way and the folklore surrounding them.

Perfect for fans of the Winternight trilogy - this follows Baba Yaga as our protagonist and weaves in both history and Russian folklore. The writing and story are both beautiful.

This installment of the series had members of the Rocinante crew as the POVs which made it much more enjoyable than past installments. It flushed out all of their backstories quite a bit and still managed to tie a lot of things together.

This book is heavily focused on genealogy- about half that and half the magical side of ancestor work. I would have preferred more of the magical things instead of the detailed genealogy info as I feel I could access other books for that info.
