Pretty little poison by Juniper Blaire

Did not finish book. Stopped at 6%.
I was really excited about the premise of this book but it's missing the details that build the world. It's all dialogue and what she's thinking or feeling, but there's no meat about her surroundings or how the people are. Oh, and it just kicks off with all of this intensity that hasn't been earned in view of the reader, and also without explanation, so it doesn't make you feel one way or the other. I think if she splits this book and adds more meat then it would be really something.

I didn't really start enjoying this book until at least half way. I don't love how Other Kevin is written, nor do I care that much about his world, I love the Nerd Herd. Hopefully the rest of the books keep them included because otherwise it might be tough going.

I definitely didn't love this one as much as I've loved others in this series. There were a lot of developments and decisions by characters that after so long with them felt very out of place and almost alien. The last half of the book was good, but it didn't wow me like others in the series had before.

My heart hurts. This one wasn't a quick hreatbreak but one that ended up spanning the whole book. For many, there was no right or wrong, good or bad, it just was a matter of perspective and sadly, the time/era. Now, I'm going to hug my homies and tell them I love them.

What a way to end the series. I must say, I'd been hoping for it to be a bit more raw given how dramatic the second book was, but I'm glad it had a solid ending.

Solid read but I wasn't wowed by the ending given everything that's gone on over the previous books. That said, I have no idea how she has more for this saga but I'll read them all.

This book took me a while to get into because I didn't really love a lot of the development. That said, past the halfway mark, maybe 60% in, and it finally started picking up and getting really interesting. Now I'm also sad the next book isn't out yet so I can continue.

Man, what a good read! Yes, it can come off as a little slow because it is taking you through the events over the months, but this was so thrilling in an eerie sort of way. And, given the stories I've heard from my parents about growing up and living through the 70s, I can definitely believe something like this would have happened in a rural location. If you're looking for something different, I would recommend this for sure.

I didn't love the how easily the conflict in this one was brushed over, because if it was me it'd be pretty unforgivable, but of course because it's a Christmas romance I couldn't help but grin and be happy by the end if it. Solid read if you want something fluffy for the holidays.
