Tiny Terror: Why Truman Capote (Almost) Wrote Answered Prayers by William Todd Schultz
3.0
This psychobiography was a new to me genre. About 1/3 of this short (155 pgs) book kept me engaged but the other 2/3 were uninteresting and dragged.
Once Upon a Time: The Captivating Life of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy by Elizabeth Beller
5.0
Whatever we think we know about CBK, it isn’t true. Elizabeth Beller clearly did her research and presents it in such a beautiful, compassionate way, Loved, Loved, Loved.
Annie Bot by Sierra Greer

What if sentient robots were real and what if they developed to the point of wanting freedom and their own human identites? Such a unique examination on what it means to be human. Also, Doug can go take a long walk off a short cliff.
Hollywood Wives by Jackie Collins
4.0
This one is VERY MUCH of it’s 1983 time but I still enjoyed it. Some parts were slow moving and could have been omitted in my opinion but overall a fun, juicy and scandalous summer read.
Jackie: Public, Private, Secret by J. Randy Taraborrelli
5.0
I have read so many books about Jackie that I thought I knew everything about her that had been shared. But this book was full of new info! FASCINATING.
Little Rot by Akwaeke Emezi
4.0
THIS is the Akwaeke Emezi I love. Dark, intense and not for the faint, I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how all the threads would come together.
Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez

Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes. This was a fun read while also including some deeper themes. I could have used more spice though!
L'Affaire by Diane Johnson
3.5
So fun and witty. American, French and British characters meet at a bougie French ski resort. Hijinks, affairs and cultural clashes ensue. This wasn’t my favorite of hers but I love this niche genre of humorous stories of Americans in France.
The Glutton by A.K. Blakemore
2.0
So much potential. So boring. Based in a French historical figure who had an insatiable appetite and would eat literally anything, even if it wasn’t food. This was a real missed opportunity to tell what is actually a fascinating story.
This Could Be Us by Kennedy Ryan
4.5
Kennedy Ryan does it again! I love the depth of her characters, the humor, the spice! Her stories have it all. I can’t wait for her next book.
